The Original Wedding Gift List ("OWGL") is the wedding gift list service and brand. Gift Round Limited ("GiftRound", "we", "our" or "us") is the company that provides and operates the service.

Gift Round Limited is registered in Scotland under company number SC515352. Our registered office is 49 Castleview Drive, Bridge of Allan, Stirling, FK9 4BD.

Every Wedding Gift List is created and managed on the GiftRound platform and is a GiftRound collection. Creating, managing or contributing to a Wedding Gift List is governed by the full GiftRound Terms and Conditions, which you accept when you use the GiftRound platform. Please read them in full.

This page highlights the main points of those terms as they apply to weddings and adds OWGL-specific information, such as how your wedding gift is provided. It is a summary and does not replace the GiftRound Terms and Conditions. The GiftRound terms also set out the notices, general provisions and other matters not repeated here.

• "Wedding Gift List" means a GiftRound collection created through the service towards a wedding gift.
• "Organiser" means the couple or person who creates and manages a Wedding Gift List.
• "Contributor" means a wedding guest or other person who contributes to a Wedding Gift List.
• "Contribution" means a payment made by a Contributor to a Wedding Gift List.
• "Service" means the OWGL website and the associated GiftRound platform used to create, share and manage Wedding Gift Lists.

To create a Wedding Gift List you must be at least 18 years old and live in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. To contribute, you must be resident in, and contributing from, a country supported by our payment service provider, Ryft; contributions from unsupported countries will be declined. You must use a payment method you are authorised to use and provide accurate information.

Wedding Gift Lists must only be used to collect towards a wedding gift within a private group of invited guests, friends and family. Please share your link privately and do not publish it openly.

If we suspect a collection is being run for a cause, charity or campaign, or that people are being invited to contribute outside a private group, we may suspend it and return contributions less a 10% administration fee to cover the time spent returning funds, as set out in the GiftRound terms.

Collections must not be used for gambling, gaming or any activity with an entry fee and a prize, including raffles, lotteries, sweepstakes, auctions or promotions involving monetary rewards.

• Provide accurate information about yourselves and your Wedding Gift List.
• Only share your Wedding Gift List link with people you intend to invite to contribute.
• Not use the Wedding Gift List for any purpose other than a wedding gift.
• Comply with any identity or verification checks required by us or our payment partner.
• Keep your account details and gift list link secure.
• Make sure the email address you give for your gift card is correct.

• Only contribute using a payment method you own or are authorised to use.
• Understand that a Contribution is a gift towards the couple's wedding gift and is not held on your behalf.
• Keep any message you leave lawful and respectful.

• Contributions are made in pounds sterling. Each Contribution must be between £1 and £250.
• A Wedding Gift List can hold up to £3,000 in total. If you expect to exceed this, email support@giftround.co.uk before you start.
• A Wedding Gift List can accept Contributions for up to 60 days from its creation. You can extend an earlier end date, but not beyond 60 days from creation. After that, no further payments can be made.
• Contributors outside the UK or the Republic of Ireland may be charged extra by their own bank or card provider.

100% of Contributions go towards the couple's wedding gift and we do not deduct fees from Contributions, except for the administration fee described in section 5.

Payments are processed by Ryft Pay Ltd, trading as Ryft (ryftpay.com), as GiftRound's payment service provider. By contributing you authorise Ryft to process your payment, and Ryft's terms and privacy notice apply to that processing. Card details are handled by Ryft and are not stored by us.

Contributions are paid to the fund for the Organiser. In respect of payments, GiftRound acts solely as the disclosed agent of the Organiser, assisting with collecting and passing on the payment.

Once a Contribution has been made it cannot be cancelled or refunded by us. If you want a Contribution back, that is a private matter between you and the Organiser. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Under the GiftRound terms, we may cancel a collection and refund all Contributors — for example where a collection is offensive, discriminatory, misleading or associated with illegal or inappropriate conduct — and we may decline, reverse or pause payments where we reasonably suspect fraud. The administration fee in section 5 may apply where that section applies.

The Service is not a bank and there is no cash withdrawal. Once your Wedding Gift List closes, the total collected is used for your wedding gift, provided as a John Lewis gift card through GiftRound's gift card process under the GiftRound terms.

• You have 6 months after your list closes to claim your gift. After that the collection is removed from your dashboard and the money is held by GiftRound for a further 6 months, and then held indefinitely.
• General GiftRound FlexCard rule: the maximum aggregate value of GiftRound FlexCards that can be purchased in any one order is £1,000.
• General GiftRound FlexCard rule: GiftRound FlexCards are emailed within 24 hours of a valid request on a Business Day, or up to 48 hours for requests made on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. If a FlexCard hasn't arrived, email support@giftround.co.uk.
• Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred for value, returned or refunded, except in line with your statutory rights.

Where a GiftRound FlexCard is used in this process, it is valid for 12 months from issue and any unused balance then expires. FlexCards are provided and operated by Tillo Limited (Tillo terms). Any retailer e-gift card has its own expiry and terms, which are those supplied with the card itself.

The Original Wedding Gift List is an independent service and is not operated by or affiliated with any retailer whose gift card may be issued. Retailer names and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners.

We operate fraud, anti-money-laundering and security controls. We may pause a Wedding Gift List, request additional verification, withhold payment or close an account where we reasonably suspect unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity.

You must not misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping, interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful, offensive, misleading or abusive purpose.

All content, branding, software and design used in the Service, including "The Original Wedding Gift List" and "GiftRound" names and logos, are owned by or licensed to Gift Round Limited. You may not copy, reproduce or use them without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you upload, and you grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to run the Service.

We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or business opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for other losses is limited to loss that was directly foreseeable if you are a consumer, and to £500 if you are a business.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy. Gift Round Limited is the data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZA503237.

We may suspend or end your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or the GiftRound terms, engaged in fraud or unlawful activity, or if we are required to by law, a court or a regulator. You may end these terms at any time by closing your account and stopping all use of the Service. Termination does not affect the validity of any e-gift cards already issued.

We may discontinue or materially change the Service on 30 days' written notice. Where practicable we will let existing collections complete first, and we will process or refund any outstanding collections in line with the GiftRound terms.

These terms and the GiftRound terms are governed by Scots law, and the courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published when you use the Service applies.
