How to add your gift list to your wedding website
Simple ways to share your wedding gift list with guests.

Your wedding website has become the place for all the information that doesn't quite fit on the invitation. Directions. Hotels. Taxis. Whether children are invited. Whether the field beside the venue will destroy your guests' favourite shoes. And, yes, your wedding gift list. Putting your gift list on your wedding website is probably the easiest and least awkward way to share it. The question is how.
Give it its own small section
Your gift list doesn't need to dominate the site.
A simple heading such as “Gifts” or “Wedding Gift List” is enough.
Then explain your approach in two or three sentences and add the link.
Then add your button: View our wedding gift list.
Done.
Don't bury it completely
Couples sometimes become so worried about looking presumptuous that they hide their gift list three menus deep.
That isn't particularly helpful either.
If someone is actively looking for it, make it easy to find.
A small section in your main guest-information area is perfectly reasonable.
Remember: the people clicking it are generally there because they already want to give you something.
Keep the tone consistent with your wedding
If your wedding website is relaxed and informal, your gift-list wording should be too.
You don't suddenly need to start writing like a Victorian butler.
If you've already got everything you need at home, say it.
“We've lived together for years and really don't need another toaster…” is much more charming than corporate-sounding language about your “gifting preferences”.
Then explain what you've chosen instead.
Make the link work on mobile
This sounds boring.
It is also important.
A significant number of guests will open your wedding website from a phone, perhaps directly from a WhatsApp message.
Your gift-list button should therefore be obvious, easy to tap and take them directly where they need to go.
Nobody should need instructions to find the instructions.
You can share the same link elsewhere
Your wedding website doesn't have to be the only place your gift list lives.
You can use the same private link in digital invitations, emails or WhatsApp conversations with guests who ask.
The important thing is that your wedding collection remains something you share privately with invited guests, friends and family.
If someone receives a wedding collection link, they should recognise the couple or person who sent it before contributing.
When should you add it?
Ideally, have it ready when your main invitations start going out.
You can add it earlier if you're already using your wedding website for save-the-dates or guest information.
There isn't a magic date.
The practical rule is simpler:
Have your gift-list information available by the time people are likely to start asking about gifts.
Because they will.
Often much earlier than you expected.
